European Community Law: Rules of member-states
which are unified or coordinated by the Community's Institutions. These
interact with the member-states almost like a federal government would.
- Competition Laws: control of business behaviour ,
forbidden agreements, abuse of key-position in the market, coordinated
behaviour, State subsidies, State monopolies, business concentration
rules.
- Business Laws: Individual and Corporate Rights of
establishment in the Community, Trans-border services, export and import
rules.
- Fiscal and Customs Laws: Application of the Common Customs
and Tariff Rates, fiscal rules applying to imported goods and services.
- Community Institutions Laws and most of the related fields
of European Law.
NAFTA:(North-American Free Trade Association):
exports and imports rules, Transitory period. Sectorial rules: textile,
energy, agriculture. Trans-border services, access to public markets,
rules applying to investments.
Private International Law: applies to all
international litigations where it is necessary to know which is the
applicable law ( of a contract, following an accident) and also which is
the competent country and court of justice.
